Werry eyer his arrest en a charge of
cmbezxlement caused Edward Norten,
who has offices In the Heed Building,
te attempt suldde this morning by
drinking poison In a cell at the
Thirty-second street and Woodland
avenue police station.
Sergeant Breltmeyer heard Norten
meaning and discovered him en the
fleer of his cell, ne was sent te the
University Hospital. His condition is
serletis. Asked why he attempted his
life Norten said he could net stand the
disgrace. Norten was arrested en a
warrant sworn out by former Mayer
Jehn Weaver. ,
