Fatally 8trlcken by Heart Disease
Hrldgcton, N. .1., Oot. 10. Morris
Davis, commissioner of public safety,
died, suddenly at his home here early
this 'morning. He had bcenvsuffcring
from heart trouble for some time and
overexertion In connection with a busi
ness trip In Kansas, from which ho re
turned lato last evening, Is believed to
havo hastened this morning's fatal at
tack. Davis was formerly postmaster
of Brldgeton, deputy collector of In
ternal revenue, and In 1012 was the Re
publican candldato for state senator
from Cumberland county.
