cause
loss of power
waste of fuel
low compression
engine laboring
big repair bills
Carbonized valves a common cause of weakened engine
power are due largely to improper lubrication the use of
ordinary, compounded motor oils.
Compounded "oils break down quickly in the combustion
chambers. Their thick, gummy residue sticks to the valves and
valve seats where it forms carbon deposits of flint-like hardness
These carbon deposits, built up into small ridges, prevent the
valves from closing tightly. Hot gases under compression rush
through. Power is lost, gasoline is wasted, the engine labors and
other serious troubles develop.
L ,?U?.00 ,Motor 0i, bein a straight-run, non-compounded,
wholly-distilled product, is absolutely free from elements that
cause carbon deposit, as "The Burning Test" proves.
SUNOCO insures clean, tight-closing, compression-holding
valves, and freedom from all troubles caused by carbonization
in the cylinders.
SUNOCO, with its six distinct types, guarantees a perfect
lubricant for any car made. The "Sunoco. Lubrication Guide"
tells you at a glance the right type for your car. Ask any Sunoco
