P.) Mrs. Grace Wilson, at her prelim
inary hearing here today, was held in
bond of .$7000 on n charge of killing her
husband. Homer Wilson, widely known
a n cowboy, near here last Sunday.
Witnesses at the hearing testified that
WiNon had been driving recklessly nnd
his wife remonstrated. When the ear
was stopped she refused to continue
with him driving, they said, and got out
or the car. Wilson forced her back Into
the car with kicks, and then she fired,
according to the witnesses.

Rabbi, Formerly of Philadelphia, Is
Found Dead In Albany, N. Y.
The Uev. Ell Mayer, formerly as
sociate rabbi of the Reform Congrega- '
tlon Ilodcph Shalom, this citjg was'
found dend In his study nt Albany, Inst
night. He had been ill for some
time and had been compelled to give up
his civic activities. He was rabbi of,
Temple Beth Emeth. the largtst Jewish j
synagogue in Albany.
Doctor Mayer served the Bodcph
Shalom Congregation here for ten years, j
going to Albany in November of 1018. ,
Born in Baltimore, in 18S0. he was of
n distinguished line of rabbis. Both lis
fnther nnd grandfather were rabbis. His
grnndfather founded the Southern Col- i
lege. In Richmond. Vn., nnd organized
the first reform Jewish congrcgatlou in
tbnt city. .
Doctor Mayer received the degree of j
bachelor of arts from the University of j
Cincinnati In 1001, nnd was ordained
rabbi at the Hebrew Union College, of
Clneinanti. one year later. He was1
rabbi of the Helena, Ark., congregation

ford stntlon, died yesterdny at his home.
141 East Learning avenue, Wildwood,
N. J. Shaw, who was n widower, had
been ill since last April. He moved to
Wildwood about ten years, ago. Ho is
survived by four sons nnd two daugh
ters. Interment will be In this city.
Lewis Gansr j
Lewis Gansz, a pioneer In the manu-,
facture of fountain soda and mineral,
waters, whose home was at 2105 Sus-1
quchanna avenue, died Wednesday. He
was in his seventy -eighth year. He had
been ill for several mdhths.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Gansz
had been engaged In the manufacture of
soda water almost fifty years. Ho was
n son of Louis GnnSz, who. in 1837, cut
out tho crnck lu the Liberty Bell in nn
endenvor to restore the bell for further
use. Ho is survived by his widow nnd
five children.
