TONEOF MARKET

New York. .Tilly 2. The New York
livening Sun's closing finaucial reicw
today hays:
The stock market, which all week
has been giving indications that stocks
were In strong hands by ignoring ex
cessively high money rates, showed
plainly enough today thnt its line of
least resistance was upward. On n
volume of trading somewhat above the
recent average the whole list climbed
steadily higher.
There was nothing spectacular nbotil
the movement, nlthouch the buying of
.individual shaies displayed more utnilv
I than In several weeks. Wlie-rcns for the
I last fortnight trailers hnve been con-
I lent to nborb stocks without attracting
any attention, pools in many of the
specialties were sufficiently confident
I of tlie outlook to attempt mnrklng up
Mlifir favorites. Hut the most impressive
fenture of the trailing was the breadth

lieht volume, included all of the im

element was nimble to foresee nnythliiR
in the way of rlsinR prises, the con

Little or no news of direct market
beniinc h eloped durinR the day. One
item which tlitl attract considerable at
tention, however, was the statement
contained in the monthly bulletin of a
leadinR Wall ttreet bank to the effect
thnt "the penernl world situation is not
favorable either to n iapid decline of
prices or to n piolonRcd industrial do-prc-sion."
, ....
Although the stock exchnnRe will be
closed for the nett three davs, stocks
were bid for with more open confidence
than in many weeks As it beenme in
crensiiiRlv evident to outsiders that
nrices were detlmtely movinR forward.
nerened buviiiR was attracted nnd the
movement Rained -.tiotiR momentum with

MOTQR OIL
Every drop of Sunoco has back of it
the reputation of the Sun Company,
world-famous for the high quality
of its lubricating oils.
The Sun Company, maker of Sunoco Motor
Oil the new scientific lubricant, is one of the
world's largest producers and refiners of lubri
cating oils. Its output now exceeds one million
two hundred and fifty thousand gallons of
lubricating oils per week.
Every drop of Sunoco is controlled by the
Sun Company from the time it leaves the ground
until ready for your engine. That is why the
Sun Company can guarantee the uniform high
quality and purity of Sunoco.
You cannot be too sure of your motor oil.
An oil wrong in quality or type can damage your
engine more in one day than a whole year of
ordinary use.
Sunoco is made in six types to assure a right
type for every car. It makes accurate and
efficient engine lubrication certain.
Begin using Sunoco at once. Have your
crank case drained, cleaned and refilled with the
proper type of Sunoco. Any Sunoco dealer will
know which type "fits" your engine.
