Wilder nnil L. Wiley, Yale, pulled the
unexpected by trimming Kirk Hold nnd
II. N. Holt, tho fnBt Cornell team, In
straight sets, 1U-8, 0-. This pro
longed match was witnessed by n big
gnllery and tho many fine rnllles'brought
forth rounds of applause several times
in each of the fiercely contested games.
Wilder and Wiley won bocauso their
team work was more finished than their
opponents. Rcid played brilliantly nt
