of Brick
MR. BOWSER lives in
a frame house in the
suburb of Lowdown
Heights. On his last bill
for painting ho read the
motto, "Save the surface
and you save all."
"Well," he said to Mrs. Bow
ser, "it will cost all I've got
in bunk this month just to
save the surface. I wish they
had sense enough to build
houses of something that is
the same all through."
'Ifiomo people have," replied
Mrs. Bowser. "You know I
wanted to build this house of
brick, but you said it would
c st twenty per cent more.
Brick never needs paint to save
the surface. It never shrinks
nor c-acks. A brick house
wuld hnv" saved us three tons
of coal this last winter. And
you're payfng twice the brick
rate for insurance, too. But
that's the way you save
money."
"Mr. Bowser," he shouted,
"I wish I had some bricks here
to throw at you."
"Better save them all to
build with," said Mrs. Bowser,
placidly.
Wise women know that com
mon brick is the best and
cheapest of all building ma

This demonstration, won't
cost you a cent, and it
won't obligate you in the
least. It will just give you nn oppor
tunity to see that clothes can be
washed better, more quickly, more
gently, and more economically by
BlueBird than by you or any laun
dress in the world.
Telephone to your neigh
borhood electrical shop 'to
day, or, better still, go in
and sec the man from whom you've
bought other electrical necessities.
And remember, when you arc ready
to buy BlueBird that you can do it
for only
$7
Down
and complete the payments in con
venient monthly sums. Don't overlook
the fact that you get BlueBird right
in your home on the first payment.
It begins to pay for itself right away.
