ssry letters patent was received from
Kngland by the townspeople. This oc

Minot J. Hill; the second burgess, im

At that time he was accompanied bv

troopers when it again passes through
tho streets of Bristol this nftcrnoon.
The old coach Is in excellent condition,
the only improvements required being a
little shrinking of tho nxles nnd the
application of carriage grease.
The pnrade will bo headed by n
croup of Algonquin Indians, depleted
bv thf Bristol Tribe of Bed Men nnd
visiting tribes.
Old Settlers Follow

mencement exercises of the Philadelphia
High .School for Girls this morning,
when seventy-four graduates received
their diplomas from Fred (Sowing, the
principal.

prizes of $'M each, one for girls ntid
one for boyftv for the best examinations
presented in Greek nnd in I.ntin. This
examination Is open to all college
preparatory students, trained in these
subjects trained In Micse subjects in the
high schools and " private schools of
Philadelphia and its vicinity.
With the exception of one year, when
the prize was divided between a gradu
ate of the Philadelphia High School for
Girls and a graduate from n private
school, the girls' prize has been won
by graduates of the Philadelphia High
School for Girls. This year also it is
