Klmer, N. J., April 1. Trout fish
ermen opened the season in New Jer
sey today when they flocked to inland
streams and lakes to cast their flics for
the wary brook, brown and rainbow
trout. The open season, which also in
eludes salmon, ends July 15.
The trout fishing offers the first
sprint; sport for the rod and line en
thusiasts. The season for pike nnd
pickerel dors not open until May 120,
aud that is followed by the season for
blnck, calico, rock and white bass,
erappie, pike perch, pike, while nnd
jellow perch nnd trout, opening
June 15.
Except where winter floods broke
through the banks of pouds and lakes in
some parts of South Jersey nnd let. the
game fish escape, most, of the popular
haunts of the nngler give promise of
seasonable sport. The absence of recent
heavy rains has permitted the Ktrcams
aud waterways to clear, and sportsmen
say that the trout should be hungry
and ready to rise greedily.

Stock Kxchango in Rtutz Motor Co.
shares, the governing committee of the
exchnngo yesterday unanimously voted
in favor of a resolution under which all
members of the exchange nre prohibited
temporarily from dealing in Stutr. stock,
either on tut floor, in their offices, or in
nny other circumstances.
This means that no member ot the
exchange may execute nn order in Slut.

five small children of Mr. and Mrs. El
mer Cowart were found dead yester
day In n, tent In which they had been
making n temporary homo three miles
south of here. The wife nnd mother lay
beside the children with her throat
slashed. An ax, razor and butcher
knife, nil blood-stained, were found
in tho tent.
Screams of the children attracted a
man plowing a field nearby, but nil the
children were dead before ho reached
the tent, nnd the mother had succeeded
in slashing her own throat.
