Military College Will Confer Degree
on Senator and Others
The Pennsylvania Military College
will give a reception in honor of United
States Senator Warren J. Harding, of
Ohio, at Chester tomorrow night and
the degree of doctor of laws will be
conferred upon him by John Wnna
maker, who will preside.
Degrees will be conferred upon other
distinguished guests who will be en
tertained nt the college armory. John
Philip Soun will receive the degree
of doctor of music; General William
J. Black, engineering, and John C.
.Tones, formerly district ordnance offi
cer for the eastern states, the degree
of science.
Before the reception n dinner will he
given by the board of trustees of the
college to their visitors nt the home
of Colonel Charles E. Hyatt. Speeches
will be mnde by Senator Harding and
the college officials. An assembled band
has been engaged to play some of
Sousa's best selections.
