RUCK SHOW
DEFIES WEATHER
Industrial Inventions, by Their
Utility, Able to Sneer at
Damo Nature
LAST' TWO DAYS OF SHOW
When member of the Motortruck
Association of Philadelphia feel tlinf
llielr mission in tlic industrial world
liai been cxlinusted they need loolt no
further than the United States wenther
bureau for a fat job. As weather
piopliets they have made n record which
in enabled them to bat .J500. The
Philadelphia Automo.blle Trades' As-f-o'-tntton
selected last wtck for its ex
hibit. The weather behaved to its
HKing. Tt seemed that eaprieiotia Dame
Nature was hypnotised by these soloni
of the industry. The weather last week
was just to their liking. Tt suited, in
turn, both for open and closed cars.
Now the motortrucK men are nn,vlnc
their innings. First thre is a streak
nf real frigid weather, jPlicn a "now
lorni. a streak of sunshine, followed
hvrain; then a freeze-up nRain, making
itix rn.idwnvs like a classy surfare.
Then more snow. Could any more' ill-J
versified wcauier conditions ue planned
to tr.st the durability and commercial
vnlue of the motortruck? 'What has
hem the result? Wherever you bo you
pee the sturdy, powerful truck winding
its uay over the slushy, icy streets,
the snow-covered roads challenging
cer condition. It seems to have no
trouble getting traction. It has even
brat nature at its own game.

Unequaled in Economy,

D u?" Zan' go.t awty from tho fact that 60,000
