COST OF LIVING
You can pay a fairprice for good flour and help
check the rising costs of necessities. The Govern
ment is putting on the market, for your benefit, flour
milled from the present bountiful crop of soft red
winter -wheat. It is not a "war" or " ictory" flour,
but a standard quality of straight grade used in large
quantities before the war by bakers and the grocery
trade. It is sold under the name
UNITED STATES GRAIN CORPORATION
STANDARD PURE WHEAT FLOUR
and can be obtained by the public, through trade
channels, at prices around 75c for 12-pound pack
ages and $1 .50 for 24'-pound packages.
fi
Retailers may buy this flour in paper sacks
in carlots at $10.43 per barrel, or in cotton
sacks at $10.80 per barrel. (In less than
carlots, paper, $11.15; cotton, $11.55.)
Arrangements have been made with the follow
ing stores to handle this flour. It is available at some
of them now, and should be in the hands of all with
in a very short time.
