than the rest of the market, reacted to
12 for cables and 12.02 for checks.
Marks were slightly better at 2.53.

FINANCIAL BRIEFS
The average price of twenty active in
dustrial stocks declined 0.20 per cent
yesterday to 110.40, while the twenty
raihoads advanced 2.33 per cent to
81.05.
An agreement has been made by the
Pennsylvania Jtailroad Co. with the
United States railroad administration
whereby the latter ill construct
twenty-five pasnenger locomotives for
