Advertising Failures
About 33rn of the total number of advertisers .in the
national field in the past ten years are no longer in
evidence.
These are termed "advertising failures."
According to Bradstreet two of the chief causes of
general business failures are inexperience and in in
sufficient capital.
With failures in advertising nationally the same
reasons as a rule hold true.
On the other hand, granting that the product js right,
it is possible today to count with reasonable assurance
on success if the advertising agency is competent and
the appropriation adequate.
Rublishers with revenues annually in the millions
have at stake a ponderable interest in the success of
the new advertiser.
Their selfish interest warrants their best advice.
Consult two or three before you "Take a flyer in
advertising."
