nineteen bingles. and in only one game
has he gone hitless. He has nt lenst

at Broad and Huntingdon streets this
afternoon. The Rraves are wortliy op
ponents, because it will be a battle for
last place. The Coombsnien are one
and a half games north of, the cellar.
The Phils have been doing a lot of
hitting in the West, the main trouble
being that the other clubs have done
more, which, of course, is n small mat
ter. There's no fault to be found with
the hitting of the club, but the nthletes
nre slow runners and mediocre fielders,
and the pitching has been misernble.
An nvcrage of almost eight hits for
eleven bases per game in the West isn't
so bad, but nn average of almost two
errors per game isn't so good. In their
fourteen contests the Phils have gath
ered 10S hits for ."." sacks, but have
committed twenty-six eriors. Thirty
eight runs have been scored.
Compare these figures with the records
of rival clubs. The opposition put over
seventy-nine runs, made 111 hits for
188 bases nml was guilty of only six
teen errors. The rival average per
game is five and one-half runs, ten hits
for thirteen bases and a fraction over
one error.
The following gives some iden of how
the Phils behaved and misbehaved since
they left New York on June 4 :

Delicious, refreihingi Aa sweet and invigorating aa the cold,
clear, mountain springs. The flavor of the rich, "juicy roots
and herbs is as natural as when they were first dug out of the
cool, green forests. Clear and sparkling, it has been a great
favorite in New England for sixty years. Try a case.

CAMELS are a cigarette revelation! They are a
smoke delight ! They answer the cigarette ques
tion as it has never before been answered.
Camels are an expert blend of choice Turkish and
choice Domestic tobaccos which you will greatly pre
fer to either kind of tobacco smoked straight.
This expert blend brings out Camels' wonderful
cigarette qualities. It eliminates any unpleasant ciga
retty aftertaste or any unpleasant cigaretty odor!
It also makes possible Camels' enticing mildness
while retaining the full "brjy" of the tobaccos.
No matter how much you like Camels and how
liberally you smoke them, they will not tire your
taste! The blend takes care of that!
For your own satisfaction compare Camels with any
cigarette in the world at any price 1
