SPRING BROOK BESS BURKE 2D is the largest dairy cow in the World,
weighing 2225 lbs., and the only cow in the world to have made three 7-day butter
records, each above 35 lbs., in connection with three yearly records, each above 1000
lbs. She is also the only cow with two 36-lb. butter records from 700 lbs. ,of milk
in connection with two yearly records, each above 1000 lbs. of butter. Spring
Brook Bess Burke 2d, with" her dam, granddam and two sisters, holds all world's
records for both butter and milk for a year.
SPRING BROOK BESS BURKE 2D has three noted sisters with 7-day butter
records from 33.23 to 42.31 lbs., and yearly records from 1175 to 1235.33 lbs.
SPRING BROOK BESS BURKE 2D is the dam of Winterthur Farms' herd sire

BESS JOHANNA ORMSBY recently completed the following records at the
age of 4 years ahd 8 days: 40.71 lbs. orbutter and v 667.60 lbs. of milk (7 days),
147:61 lbs. of butter and 2897.50 lbs. of milk (30 days). At the age of 2 years she
made 25.90 lbs. of butter and 452 lbs. of milk (7 days), 881.95 lbs. of butter and
17,800.10 lbs. of milk (365 days). In her yearly work. which began in January, she
is continuing the high standard of production of the Spring Brook Bess Burke 2d
family.
BESS JOHANNA ORMSBY'S best day's milk is 101 lbs., her dam's is 123 lbs.,

KING OF THE ORMSBYS possesses inherited individuality and breeding that
are second to none.
His sire, Sir Pietertjo Ormsby Mercedes with a 35-Ib. dam, was the premier
sire of show-ring winners and is the only siro living or dead with nine daughters
that have made yearly butter records of 1000 lbs. and over. Two of his daughters
each made over 40 lbs. of butter in seven days. Only one other sire has moro than
two 40-lb. daughters.
From his dam, Spring Brook Bess Burke 2d, King of the Ormsbys inherits
size, type and a combination of long and short time records that are unsurpassed "by

By the recent performance of his full sister, Bess Johanna Ormsby (record,
40.71 lbs. of butter in 7 days), and also by the combined long and short time records
of his three-quarter sisters, we have conclusive proof that ho will transmit to his
offsprings all the marked qualities of his ancestors.
As King of the Ormsbys is only three years old none of his young daughters
have freshened, but their conformation is in keeping with the noted Spring Brook
Bess Burke 2d family in every way. We should be glad to have YOU come and

. JOHANNA KING SEGIS' sire is a son of King Segis and has 45 A. R. O.
daughters (three of them with records above 30 lbs. of butter in 7 days), and several
of his daughters have ve$y creditable 305 and 365-aay milk and butter records.
JOHANNA KING SEGIS' dam, Johanna De Kol Van Beers, was the second
cow to make 40 lbs. of butterxin 7 days, She broke the world's record by producing

Our' reason for buying Johanna King Segis was because of the excellent showing
that is being made by his daughters ,here. We want more of them, and therefore we
are mating him with some.of the very best cows arid heifers that we own, particularly
wilh the daughters of our Sir InkaPrilly Segis, in order to intensify the King Segis

SIR INKA PRILLY SEGIS '
SIR INKA PRILLY SEGIS is a son of King Segte and Inka Prilly (record, 30.01
lbs. of butter in 7 days) .
SIR INKA PWLLY SEGIS has been in service at Winterthur Farms but a few
years. His first daughters born here began freshening this past season. Only ten
have freshened to date six of them making from 20 to 25 lbs. of butter in seven days
and milking a3 high.as 80 lbs. a day. He has in all 24 A. R. O. daughters. It is our
aim to put all his daughters on yearly work. His first two-year-old -daughter to be
put on yearly work will finish her record in June. In 236 days she has produced
558.00 lba. of butter and 16,914.00 lbs. of milk.
About one-fifth of our herd (325 females) is made lip of daughter of Sir Inka
Prilly Segis. They are "an unusually typey, straight-backed lot with particularly well
balanced udders. They are being mated with King of the Ormsbys, King of the Sadie
Vales and Johanna King Segis.
