Washington, May 31 The first
woman to make the air journey from
Washington to New York, the army air
service announced last night, is Mrs. E.'
E. Harinnn, wife of an army lieutenant,
who left here at 11:1,0 a. m. vesterday
and arrived at Hazelhurst Field two
hours nnd forty-five minutes later.
Her husband piloted the machine, a
military bombing plane, and Colonel
Kobert E. O'Brien. Colonel William C.
Sherman and Major Itaycroft Walsh
were other passengers.

The Lambs will hold on Monday at
3 o'clock in the Forrest Theatre the
auction sale of seats for their All-Star
Gambol, which will be given at a mati
nee at thijT Fprrest Monday, June 0.
Noted stars'of the stage will come over
especially fi'dm NewYork with Wil
liam. Collier, the general amusement
director, to take part In this sale, and
Phlladelpbians will find this auction n
dlvertfrfg entertainment in Itself.
' The Gambol this year w 111 be dis
tinctly different from all other Gambols.
George V. Hobart will, contribute a
Sketch entitled "Getting Together."
This will take the public behind the
scenes at the Lambs In New York.
George Cohan has written a skit and
Hassard Short will give a syncopated
allegory called "A Jazz for Cinderella,"
with lyrics by KcnnetluWcbb and music
by Boy Webb. Mr. Short has also con
tributed a fanciful musical number
called "A Dream 8ketch"'from the old
days at Daly's Theatre. In this all the
famous "girls" of musical comedy will
be seen revisiting Philadelphia.
