Tait McKenzle, of the Unlvrniity if TennsylTania, will be unveiled on June JO, 1010, In the triangle of the Uni versity dormitories. The statue has been made possible by voluntary sifts of $12,000 from Metho dists in the University and by persons 1 affiliated with the Methodist Church. Doctor McKcnzio has been at work on the statue for several years. The idea of such a Whiteficld memorial was launched in 1011. The work of the sculptor has been highly praised by critics. Whltefteld was a member of the Ox ford Club, which wni the beginning of Methodism. He was the luipirer and nn original trutee of the Charity School of 1740, the forerunner of the University of Pennsylvania. (13:238:), Co. M, ::8th Infantry. FOR conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity above and beyond the call of duty in action with the enemy at Brancourt, France, :: October, :o:8. While Sergeant Hilton's company was advanc ing thru the Village of Brancourt, it was held up by intense enfilading fire from a machine gun. Discovering that the fire came from a machine-gun nest in a shell hole at the edge of the town, Sergeant Hilton, accompanied by a few other soldiers, but well in advance of them, pressed on toward this position, firing ivith his rifle until his ammunition was exhausted and then with his pistol, killing six of the enemy and capturing ten.
