weeks past. Thcro were few violent changes In price nnd, taken ns a whole,
the market was one of recessions. In tho case of somo of tho. rails there
was Improvement.
A decided drop In the shares of tho J. 3. Brill Company occurred when
tho stock of that corporation fell 4 points on n salo of thirty shares. No
reason was given on tho Street In explanation of the slump.
Several small blocks of the Cramp Shipbuilding stock mado n good nd
vanco at 83, up 3 points from tho last salo. Steel gained , United Gas Im
provement lost and Lakp Superior Corporation was up A small block
of Mldvalo was unchanged at 42.
Italls wero spotty. Baltimore and Ohio, Buffalo and Susquehanna, Penn
sylvania nnd New Haven wero off. Lehigh Valley, Heading; and West Jersey
nnd Scashoro advanced.
