Tone of Market Rather Weak Nearly All Issues Sell
. at Concessions Pennsylvania Railroad and
United States Steel Lower
There was fair activity nt today's session of the Philadelphia Stock Ex
change, following a very dull opening In which transactions were scattered
and sales made In small lots. Tho tone of the market was rather weak all
day, and while broad In scope nearly nil Issues wero sold at, concessions.
Pennsylvania Railroad, United States Steel nnd Philadelphia Electrld
wero tho lenders of the list, the first two selling at recessions of ft and 1,
respectively. Philadelphia Electric held steady at 25 under sales of some 1400
shares. Lalto Superior wns off. I.ehlgh Volley continued weak, selling at
5394 off 74.
Baldwin was off 1ft and Cambria Iron 4, while Cambria Steel gained
1V4 on sales of nn odd lot. Corn Exchange National Bank warrants wero
quoted 2ft lower at 127ft.
There was little done In bonds. Philadelphia Company first Es stamped
wero off ',4. Liberty Issues held about at Tuesday's figures.
