Virtually all are copied from French dresses and a few are the original models them
selves. There are afternoon dresses, street dresses and dinner gowns of the finest mate
rials made in original ways and not two alike. Of velvet strikingly embroidered, of trie

riers were not nearly so busy. The skins were carefully
selected and the work was done without hurry, so that
no detail was slighted. If we went into the market to
