In order that tho regulations of tho War Labor Program may be put into effect with the least possible disturbance to Pennsylvania industries, tho following procedure is to bo observed with reference to advertising for unskilled labor by employers engaged wholly or partly in war work and having in their employ a total force of one hundred or nioro persons. 1. Advertisements should not exceed 5 inches, single column, in any ono newspaper on nny one day. 2. Any number of newspapers may be used. 3. Advertisements should not state: (a) Number of men required. (b) Kate of compensation. (c) Hours of work. (d) Any other specific or general inducement not herein provided for. 4. Advertisements may 6tate: (a) Type of industry. (b) General classification of work to be done. (c) Name of employer. (d) Location of plant. 5. Advertisements must state, "Apply to nearest U. S. Employ ment Service Office" or "Apply to U. S. Employment Service Office at (address of specific U. S. Employment Service Office). G. Advertisements mav state either "Bring this ad with you" or "Ask for Mr. ," or both. 7. It is requested that the above regulations concerning advertis ing for unskilled labor should also apply to advertising for skilled labor. 8. It is further requested that all advertisements inserted by firms employing less than one hundred persons, or those en gaged in less essential industries, should conform with the above regulations. 9.
