Barney Is a busy man, but he has
on his list of regular correspondents
scores o youthful friends, who have
made his acquaintance at the various
tracks at which he has appeared, and
j$ho have refused to allow that acquaint

The "Old Master" Is an artist at the

I lug at Atlantic (ity this afternoon fur
the annual American championsiup mo-
tor-p.iced raco at 100 kilometers (C2H
miles) which Is scheduled for tomorrow
evening nt the Point Breeze Motordrome.
Carman has been working out on the
beach at the seashore resort nil week
as ho Is doubly anxious of registering
a victory In the titular contest at the
local wooden way tomorrow. He was
the AinerUan champion In 101G nnd 1917.
but lost his title and honors last season
to Percy Lawrence.
As this race no doubt will be his
last until after the present gigantic In
ternational stiuggle is over he Is de
sirous of winning, and incidentally le
galnlng the championship which he lost
to Lawrence last year. Carman has
been ordered to depart for un army

On tho comparative showing of the

far this season Percy Lawrence Is a
slight favorite. This advantage, how
ever, can be wiped out completely by the

Some months ago we began a
careful investigation to secure a
high class line of commercial cars
that would measure up to our
ideas of service and satisfaction.
Either our judgment has been
too severe or our requirements a
trifle too exacting for not until
after the most exhausting
search did we discover, in the
SCHACHT, a motor truck that
is really capable of delivering the
quality and quantity of service to
which we feel the owner is en
titled. The SCHACHT is a truck we
are proud to represent. It is a
masterpiece every detail of it,
and you. may rest assured that
we will back it with a sales and
service organization that will
leave nothing to be desired.
We are now ready to discuss
your hauling problem.
