The poison of German propaganda taints the air all around you, workmen of Philadelphia.
The Kaiser's slimy agents are everywhere in the workshop, the cars, on the street corner, wherever men
congregate striving to retard the work on which the success of the war depends.
They whisper that higher wages and an easier job await you in another city.
They stir up dissatisfaction and discontent. By lies and trumped-up grievances they foment strikes and disas
trous labor troubles. Always are they seeking, by every despicable, underhanded means at their command,
to induce you to stop work. For they know that every day ari. American working man is idle Germany's
chances of winning the war are materially increased.
Workmen of Philadelphia Show the Kaiser You Are Loyal Americans
The Kaiser knows he can't lick the Americans and their allies on
the battlefield. So he is trying to undermine our strength at home,
seeking to weaken that vast industrial army which supplies the
boys at the front with' the ships, the rifles, the food, the ammuni
tion and a thousand and one other things the soldiers need so
sorely.
If you fall for the talk of these German spies and propagandists,
you are playing right into the Kaiser's hands.
He wants you to quit your job. He wants you to strike. Every
time an American workman throws down his tools, the Kaiser
laughs up his sleeve, calling you fools who are helping him instead
of Uncle Sam.
Stick to your job, men. Loyalty to your employer now means
loyalty to Uncle Sam and both will reward your efforts right
generously.
You are serving your own best interests when you give them the
best there is in you.
Sticking to Your Job Sticks a Bayonet in the Kaiser
