SPEAKING OF CAMARADERIE,
Iicre'g an object lesson in that delight
ful spirit of "all for one and one for
all" which has grown out of Ameri
ca's new alliance with La belle France,
. So it happens that when Francois, of
the sister republic's navy, pays his
first visit to New York, Snmmce, one
of Secretary Daniels's joung white
hopes, takes him in tow and explains
iho whys and wherefores of the great
metropolis, even to the extent of a
stroll along Fifth avenue.

TAKE A TRIP TO FRANKFORD, out along
ihe "L." Wonder when we'll get it? Uncle
Sam can tell. This little jingle recalls Mayor
Smith's trip to Washington the other day
in quest of permission to rush the line to
completion. Accompanying ore two views
of the new road. The one above looks south
from St. Mark's Church along Frankford
acinic. To the right is the jumping-off
place at Eyre street.
