shares on the Philadelphia r.xthange
today and transactions wero confined

ular. Superior, although showing lets
momentum than It has recently, con
tinued to lead the local list, but Its price
fagged off a trifle, while fractional de-J
ellncs were recorded by 1'nlted tins Im
provement, Rapid Transit trust certifi
cates, Pennsylvania Railroad and Le
high Valley. Hut business In none of
these Issues established at lower levels
was largo enough to make the changes

with the notice to the New York Stock
Exchange by tho Chevrolet Motor Com
pany of Its Intontion to dispose of Its
holdings of General Motors Corporation
stock, it Is officially stated that it Is
planned 1y the Chevrolet Motor Com
pany to liquidate by distributing all of
Its stock of the (ieneral Motors Cor
poration now belli in Its treasury to
the present General Motors Corpora
tion stockholders, also the 282,684
shares that It Is to receive from the
General Motors for Its plant and assets,
exclusive of present General Motors
stocks, on the basis of 1 1-7 shares of
General Motors Corporation stock for
each share of Chevrolet Motor Company
stock now outstanding.
As soon as this Is accomplished the
Chevr-let Motor Company will be com
pletely liquidated and its stock will no
longer be outstanding, but the company
will continue and will be known as the
Chevrolet branch of tbe General Motors
Corporation.
