woman's department at Stale College, spoke
on tho advantages of budget-making as a
safe and wise means of meeting the tliinnclal
problems every housekeeper has to deal with

of thu public school lunch system, told the
wonion of her work In the schools of I'lilla
delphls. She has found that It Is riultc pos
sible to mako the system almost self-supporting
by the pennies which the children
pay for their lunch

Chorus, who sang most amusln'gly of the
"meatless, sweeties and wheatiess tlajs." It
has been decided that tho club will hereafter
have Its meetings on Tuesdaj-s In the service
house. Instead of Mondaj-s, In compliance
with the coal administrator's order. Of
course, when the warm daj-s do come, the
meetings on Mondays will be resumed.
Next Tuesday evening a lecture will he
given by Mr. Charles A. Beury. It Is under
the auspices of the Men's Social Club and
tho Woman's Club. Jir. Beury will describe
his travels through llussla, Turkey and
Ferslu.
