White Elephant Sale for
Benefit of Regina Pads House
There will bo a "White Elephant Sale" on
Friday and Saturday of this week at the
llegina Fads House, 305 North Nineteenth
stiet, for the benefit of that Institution. This
little temporary home for friendless Cathollo
girls was opened on March 2S last year by
tho. Alliance of Catholic Women. Willi a,
capacity of only fifteen beds It has sheltered
more than 500 girls, virtually free of charge
during this period. These girls are brought
to the house by the Cathollo bureau from
the station houses, by agents of the Travel
er" Aid Society, by the Municipal Court and
by the Civilian ltellef Division of the lied
Cross.
The girls In most Instances have been
placed In safe homes and employment lias
been secgred for them, or they are guarded
until the agendo Interested In their cutta
could adequately plan tor them.

More than 100 Stov ens School gills, Including
several members of the alumnae, will par
ticipate In this tntritalutnent, the proceeds of
which will be given to war relief.
"The Masque of the Muses" was first writ
ten by Ethel Davis Pelrre and II. Wlnthrop
Pelrce for the Copley Society, ot Boston,
where it was most enthusiastically received,
and thtro Is every reason to believe that Its
second presentation will be equally successful.
Miss Mary II Mohti Dern, who has charge
f the whole nffnli, has been very ably as
sisted by Miss Mary llentley. principal of
the school, and the entire fhcultj. The
musical program will be conducted by Miss
M. M. M. Stewart, with MIbs Edith Sweerer
