CHICAGO. June 30 Minor leagues
forced to suspend before tho closo of tho
regular senson will not lose their players or
territorial rights, according to a ruling of
the governing board of the National Asso
ciation of Professional Baseball Leagues,
received by President Tearney, ot the
Three-I League, last night
The ruling was Issued by John II. Farrcll,
secretary of the National Association, as n
result of an appeal from President Tearney,
who believes somo of tho smaller leagues
will not surivc tho season, owing to tho
war situation and continued unfavorable
weather.
Tho board ruled, however, that players
will ho permitted to seek employment
wherever .possible for tho remainder of the
season, but must report next spring to tho
club holding their contract this season. Tho
board also ruled that leagues desiring to
suspend shall llx a date for closing and that
all players must be paid In full.
