NEW YORK, May 18 The unusual un
certainty prevails again today regarding
the extent to which the results of tho trace,
able movements of funds for the week, at
the close of business jesterday, will be
offset and obscured by tho operations of the
Now York Federal Reserve Bank The
banks this week gained net from the In
terior $1,849,772 and In addition gained
from the Subtreasury 115,229,000, a total of
J17.078.772.
On the other hand, the New York Federal
Reserve Bank ran heavy credits at the,
Clearing House all of the week up to the
close of yesterday of J101.564.000 The
largest single credit was for J38.614.000
Evidently If the Federal Institution at
the close of business today Bhows the gain
from the banks Indicated the outcome would
be a loss by the banks In cash of $,
486,000
