for us to fulfill our word. They will not cannot be dis

plight of these little unfortunates.
Over 500 "Ration Clubs" have eagerly entered the work;
They have been organized in weaving mills, girls' schools,
newspaper offices, real estate offices, automobile agencies,
shoe factories, paint factories, churches, Sunday schools;
hardware stores,' coal offices, Y. M. C. A.'s, bond houses,
tobacco factories, glass factories, insurance offices, lumber
houses, leather factories, drug stores, trust companies,
department stores, banks, steel plants, hotels many in
families.
Each club is providing extra daily rations for a number
of children giving a dollar a month for each child.
The Chamber of Commerce is actively working with the
Philadelphia Committee in charge of the relief work, as are
physicians, lawyers and professional men in all walks of life;
Clubs and organizations of all kinds are enthusiastically
engaged in this wonderful task' of humanity.
