would be unjust to accuse the physician of
Incapacity when his counsels are unheeded
and his prescription contemptuously re

closely and seek tho truth without bias or
prejudice, they would speedily rcallzo that
the fault lies not with the Christian re
ligion, but rather with those who, nbuslng
their freedom of will, havo refused to em
brace, or at least, to practlco. Its teach
ings, and they would frankly confess In the
words of tho Maccabees that "wc suffer
these things for ourselves, having sinned

Tho Archbishop concludes with an ex

especially recommending tho Catholic

Hints That Help
One large business establishment has set
up these "telephone rules:"
1 If the person asked for has answered at
another telephone, place the receiver
back on the hook at once; they tell us
that in some telephone exchanges as
many as one-third of the lines are "out
of service" for various periods each
month because receivers have been left
off.
t
2 If, at any time, you notice a telephone
receiver off the hook and, apparently, the
call is not being attended to, Urn out
what's wrong and correct it.
3 Answer promptly; seconds seem like
minutes to the person calling, and he's
apt to "hang up" if kept waiting long.
4 If the message is for someone else in the
office, say that you will call him at once-;
don't leave the calling person wondering
what's become of you.
5 If the call must be trans
ferred to another tele
phone, say so before "call
ing" your private branch
exchange operator.
