Within n few minutes, however, It developed thnt the ilenmnd for stocks had broadened materially nnd nil the offerings were easily nbsorbed. When It became apparent Hint the buying power hnd Incrcnscd the bear operations quickly ceased .nnd In the rest of the first hour market movements consisted of vigorous ndvnnccs. fulled Stolen Steel common led the wny for the general list on both the rfffsilons nnd upturn. The bond market showed Increased strength all through the day, with the gilt-edged Issues In sennt supply and hard to obtain.
