p. Isabella Wood, Wlulnomlng, has a
good suggestion to make She writes I "Why
not have the Rainbows keep a little tablet
handy and when they think of an Idea for
the Hulnbow club why Just write It down
and then they will remember to send It In."
This Is a splendid plan and would be a
great help If members would follow It out
Surely all the bright little rays In our big
Rainbow have Ideas well worth while Jot

Kathryn Mills, our little Colllngswood
member, had a birthday the other day and
mother gave htr some very pretty pink note
paper with a deeper pink edge. Kathryn
had lots of fun on Halloween She had on

Everybody tried to "punch" her, but, of
course it didn't hurt a bit

WILLIE WIDEAWAKE PAINTER
By Farmer Smith
It seemed to Willie Wideawake he had
been asleep about six hours when he opened
his eyes one-millionth part of an Inch, and
what do you think he saw?
The Good Dream Fairy sitting on the
foot of the bed looking straight rt him and
slmlllng her moat beautiful smile.
"I am going to leae you very soon, but
see I I have left some canvas for you, also
some paints and a brush or two."
WIUIo sat up in bed and, sure enough,
there was an easel with a frame already
stretched with canvas.
"Oh,' goodie I" exclaimed Willie.
"Sh h I Not so loud or you will awaken
the spirit of the picture."
"The spirit of the picture T" Willie did not
quite understand.
"You shall learn about that later," said
the Fairy. "Hurry and get up."
"But I shall be cold," whined Willie.
"Ahl Can you not trust your good
friend? We must trust our friends whom
else have we to trust?" And wlUi that the
Qood. Dream Fairy blew a breath and quick
as a cat's wink the room became warm.
Willie felt a hot breath across his face as
he hopped out of bed.
"What shall I do now?" asked Willie.
"Sit In front of the picture or rather, the
cam as and paint I"
Willie sat In front of the canvas and
looked and looked at It.
"What shall I dor with that Willie
turned to the Good Dream Fairy In despair.
She had gone.
"Please paint. I do so hata tn ha hi.
Take me and rub me across your cheek and
see how soft I am."
"And who, pray, are you?" asked Willie.
"I am the brush," said a very soft voice.
"I am the large one. here by your hand."
Willie picked up the brush and rubbed the
soft hair against his face and .
Juit then, he woke up." Thomas, the cat.
was rubbing his fur against Willie's face.
"Oh!" exclaimed WHlle, looking around
for the Good Dream Fairy and the easel
and tbe brushes.
But they were gone.
