attracted by announcements ot Its exten
sive development work and Increased earn
ings, rose from to 1U. Cosden &
Co. advanced to 18 H, and Cocden OU
rose from 14 to 15. Sinclair Oil was In
good demand with sales at B4 4 to E4
Standard OU and Transport continued ac
tive and strong, selling at 84 and 8H
Most Interest was attached to the trad
ing In Magma because of the sensational
advance In the stock last week, when It
sold as high as 63. It opened this morn
ing at 46 and quickly dropped to 41.
Marlln Arms was one of the weakest
features, falling from 70 to 62. Kathodlon
Bronze preferred responded to the news of
the Government contract with an advance of
from 10 to 11,' nnd Mldvale Steel was In
good demands during the forenoon, selling
at 68 i to 69a, but yielded about 1 point
later under realizing sales.
Chevrolet dropped from 190 to 187, Gen
eral Motors new stock dropped from 168
