PLANS
The Drama League of America has de
cided to emphasise during the ear 1918
17 the study of the American drama and
asks the co-operation of the various centers
to this end The committee on the American
drama year has been appointed for Phila
delphia, with Dr. Arthur Hobson Qulnn as
chairman, and through a number of sub
committees Is proceeding to organlie a
bureau of Information on 'American plays
at the oftlce of the Drama League, to pro
dutJo several significant American playa
during the year, to provide lecturers on the
American drama who for a moderate
charge will be at the service of organlia
ttons desiring such lecturers, and In every
way possible to encourage the study of our
nathe drama. More detailed Information
concerning these nctlvles will be sent to
the members later. Tho chairman Is ar
ranging for a series of lectures to be Riven
by men prominently associated with the
production of American plas. either as
pla wrlghts or as actors. This series of lec
tures wilt be given under the auspices of the
