President Wilson will make one or more

Cormlck and of Samuel Seabury, Demo

pieces have been arranged.
In addition to discussing politics with Mr.
McCormlck, the President gave considera
tion to the appointment of several of the
commissions and boards created by the last
session of Congress. Among the men being
considered for the Tariff Commission are
Prof. FranU W. Taussig, of Harvard, and
William I Saunders, of New Jersey. Ber
nard X. Baker, of Baltimore, m.13 said to
be almost certain of appointment on the

Aid for Jews in Rumania
NEW TOItK. Sept. 28. The provisional
executive committee for General Zionist
affairs has made arrangements for the
organization of a committee In Rumania to
have charge of the distribution of money
sent by American Jews to their relatives in
that country. The American committee has
so far transmitted more than a million dol
lars to war zone victims.
Man Dies in Home by Gas
John S. Selgrath, of 2043 South Beech
wood street, was found dead in the bath
room of his home last night with the gas
turned on. Segrath, according to the
police, had been ill, and they think he
committed suicide.
Funeral of Doctor Moore
The funeral of Dr. William D. Moore,
forty-nine years old, who died yesterday,
will be held Friday afternoon at his resl-
L dence, IS west Tulpehocken street, Ger-
"raantown. The Interment will be private.
Doctor Moore was a graduate of the Phila
delphia College of Pharmacy and the Med
leaf School of the University of Pennsyl

Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth M.
Deaver. widow of Dr. John jr. Deaver, of
Lancaster County, and the mother of two
well-known Philadelphia physicians, who
died yesterday, will be held Friday morn
ing at the home of her son. Dr. H. C.
Deaver, 1415 North Broad street. The In
terment will be private. She was also the
mother of Dr. Jchn B. Deaver. Mrs. Deaver
was 1 years old and death was due to a
complication of diseases.
