buyers of the near months, but .there was
a supply of July from abroad. Selllnc
generally was scattered, with some com
mission houses lotting pro fits on potion
purchased at lower levels. Some', scat
tered hedge selling was again-noted.

to Samuel M. Clement, Jr., one of the re
ceivers, and steps will soon bo taken to

ber coupon Interest, of two per cent and
It will be paid, and before the receivers
are discharged the $20,000 receivers' cer
tificates wilt bo liquidated.
The reorganisation plan's main features
were tho acceptance of a reduction In the
annual rato of Interest on the bonds from
nve per cent to four per cent for Ave years,
and the payment of 180,000 cash by stock
holders, for which they received seven per
cent cumulative preferred stock. To avoid
foreclosure, as has been done, It was neces
sary to get the 'assent ot each bondholder
to the. plan.

On account of the war the value of the Russian rouble in
United States currency has depreciated materially. The low
rate of exchange js readily explained by the unprecedented
conditions now existing.
As the interest and principal of these, bonds are payable in
Russian roubles, purchasers can expect a profit on their

and further opportunity for profit if the coupons be retained
