jne their first opportunity of seeing Fan

tremely Interesting from many angles. The
tory Is staged In an cffectlvo manner as
to settings, and the photography Is up to
the welt-known Lasky standard.
The Jefferson's opening of the fall season

week in an adaptation of Clydo Fitch's
powerful drama, "The Woman In the Case."

Charles Segal Is a theater proprietor,

nees and fifteen cents In the evenings at
the Park on Friday and Saturday, when
"Tho Ne'er Do Well" U presented at 1:30
and 8:30 p. m.
At the Liberty on Thursday "Pillars of
Society" will be shown. The cast Is made
up of an unusual array of dramatlo stars.
Henry Walthall, who will always be recog
nized for his work In "The Birth of a Na
tion," plays the leading part and is sup
ported by Mary Alden, tho Triangle favor
ite. Tuesday's attraction at the Cureka will
bo Marc MacDermott, who recently Joined
the Vltagraph forces and who plays the
leading male rolo In "The Footlights of
Fate " He Is taking his vacation by spend
ing the week-ends with his wife and fam
ily at Atlantic City.

Barney Williams, who heads the com
pany offering "Hello Honolulu" at the Wil
liam Penn during the last half of tho week,
spent several years In the Hawaiian Islands.
And he went there rather against his will,
too, for he had been visiting In Japan and
was on the return trip home when tho ves
sel he was traxellng on became disabled
several hundred miles away from the Is
lands and was towed to Honolulu, where It
took soveral days to make the necessary re
pairs for the continuance of the oynge.
Meanwhile. Williams had becomo Infatuated
with the beauties of tho plaoe and had be
como so nbsorbed In sightseeing that ho for
got all about sailing day When ho finally
returned to the pier ho learned that tho xes
eel had sailed several hours before So he
made tho best of it bad bargain, went pros
pecting nnd found n lucratUe field In com
mercial pursuits. Ho was In n fair way of
becoming a msgnate when the firm he was
with was bankrupted by n rascally cashier
who had been spending the firm's money
freely The business closed nnd Williams
became disgusted and returned to the Unit
ed States and shortly afterward got Into
the theatrical game and has been a Bucceia
ever since. He atlll hankers for Honolulu,
however, and declares that one of these days
ho Is going there to settle down and enjoy
life, Insisting that the country Is as nearly
iikd i-araaise bb any place no ecr expects
to get to.
