The row of wooden posts placed along the front of Independence Hall la an exact replica of the hitching posts used in
colonial days, when members of tho Continental Congress used to jirivo to tho State Hpuso and tie their horses outside
of the now historic building. This addition was tho last step in restoring tho hall to its original appearanco of moro
than a century ago.
