her older sister, Edith, married New Tork

tell me that tho good looks which their
mother and grandmother, Mrs, Henry
Drayton, has before them, aro still with

tic, Inheriting her talent from her mothor,

Down In Hot Springs, Va., Miss Helen
Parrlsh, of this city, together with Miss
Gladys Ingalls, has taken charge of a
branch of tho National Surgical Dressing
Committee, whoso headquarters Is in New
York. Tho members of this new branch
aro to meet every morning, if you please
(that shows how enthusiastic they are), at
ths-'Homestcad Casino and roll bandages
und make compresses for hospitals In
Europe. Tho work was organized by
Mrs. Archibald Hopkins, of Washington,
who Is chairman of tho committee for

THE rain yesterday did not halt the vari
ous activities of the day, which were
numerous. The women's golf tournament
was In full swing, although tho participants
camo in dripping with water, but happy in
having made excellent scores. Among those
on the clubhouse veranda were Mrs. Arthur
Colahan, Mrs. Huellngs, who Is a new mem
ber nnd an enthusiastic one; Mrs. W. N.
