"Tho roll of honor of tho First National

started classes in surgical dressings In
their homes and aro co-operating In othor
ways with tho American Red Cross tho
big brother of tho army and navy.
"May I point out to Nntlonal Servlco
Btudents tho sp'eclal responsibility which
is theirs at tho present time. Tho oyes of
tho entire country aro upon them to sco
if thoy aro going to put tho training they
received into practical use, and they must
not fall lest tho work of tho school bo un
justly criticised.
"At tho national headquarters of tho

"Commandant.
741 Munsey Building, Washington, D. C."
Possibly somo of tho members who en
Joyed tho month of camp llfo In Chevy
Chaso will want to go to either of these
otlier schools or will think it advlsablo
to aid In tho work, which, If It doe3 noth
lng clso, occupies a number of women who
hitherto had given over tho greater part
of their time to frivolities and fripperies
, during both Bummer and winter.
Capo May is Indignant, together with
Irs. Gambia Latrobo, a perfectly charm
ing Baltimore woman, who has taken a
cottago thero for tho summer, over the
treatment recently meted out to her. A
few days ago Mrs. Latrobo motored over
to Chelsea with a party of friends for tho
t day. Before sho loft sho paid all flvo
maids up to dato and left feeling safe, and
comfortable that all was well in her
household.
When tho motor party returned much
,to the matron's horror, tho cottage was
anll shut up and she had to appeal to tho
real estate agent for a key. When she
'finally got Inside she found a curt note
I saying that all llvo had decided to leave.
I wonder that they had tho kindness to
icloso up the house, and greatly do I sym
pathlzo with tho poor ludy.
