became better acquainted they decided It
would he a good thing to form n permanent
organization. In 1909 they were Incor

markod tho condition of tho crop July 1 as
being 81 per cent, of normal.
Last year thore was nn average of 38
bushels to an acre, but from present Indi
cations this will bo reduced to 32 2.5 bushels
to an acre and a total production of 46,340,
288, as compared to 54,792,000 bushels n
year ngo. During tho last few weeks, how
ever, corn has been coming along rapidly,
and In another month a much bet.ter esti
mate Is expected.
