Anaconda Copper Increases Dividend
NEW YOHK, Juno 27. Tho Anaconda Copper Milling Company has declared
a quarterly dividend of $2 per share on Its stock, placing tho Issue on an $8 per
ahnlini basis. Disbursements on tho stock were increased from $4 to a $G basis
a share per annum on December 28 last, when a quarterly dividend of $1.50 a
Bhife was declared. Tho dividend is payablo August 20 to holders of record
July 12.
Oxwcld Acetylene Declares '10 Stock Dividend
NEW YORk, Juno 27.-Thb Oxweld Acetyleno Company has declared a regular
quarterly dividend of 1 per cent, on tho common stock, payable Jtily.l to stock of
record JunoB, and a 40 rer cent, stock dlvidond on the common, payable July 20
to stock of record Jtlne 10. Tho company has also authorized the purchase and
cancellation of tho $215,000 outstanding preferred stock.
North Butte Minintr Dividend Is Boosted
NEW YOtlK. Juno 27. The North Butte Mining Company today declared a
quarterly dividend of 76 cents a share, nn Increase of 25 cents ovor tho previous
declaration.
Central Leather Company to Pay Extra Dividend
NEW YORK, June 27. Tho Central Leather Company today declared a reg
ular quarterly dividend of 1 per cen't. and an extra dividend of 1 por cent, on tho
common stock, payablo August 1 to stock of record July 10. With this extra the
company has declared dividends of 3 per cent, on tho common stock this year.
American Window Glass 12 on Back Dividends
PITTSBURGH, Juno 27. Tho American Window Class Machine Company has
declared a dividend of 12 per cent., to apply to back dividends.
$10,000,000 Gold From Europe
NEW;YORK. Juno 27. It Is believed that tho $10,000,000 of gold which arrived
today from Europ6 on the steamship Cedric Is Consigned to tho account of J. P.
Morgan & Co. It Is understood that there are 300 cases In tho consignment.

NEW YORK. June S7. The Curb mar
ket today recovered from the depressing
Infliienco of the recent liquidation on tha
Stock Exchange and developed pronounced
strength, with many Issues making substan
tial gains. Most Importance was attached
to the trading In Stuts Motor, tho Btock
which was heavily oversubscribed some
time ago, and temporary certificates wero
issutd last week.
Knowledge of Its earnings, estimated at
equal to $8 a share per annum, was an In
centive for vigorous buying, on which the
price rose from E1H to above 67 early In
the forenoon. The strength In this stock
had marked Influence on Undine In other
motor enures, and was to much extent re
sponsible for an advance of more than i
points In United Motors. Other motor
stocks mads gains ranging from 1 to over
4 points.
There was brlik trading also In Mldvale
Steel, which Was In demand from the start,
advancing from 60 to above 61, with a
movement based to a great extent on state
ments In regard to heavy expenditures for
naval construction In the comlnR two
year. Tho oil stocks were Irregular.
Metropolitan Petroleum first dropped from
15 4 a new low record, but advanced
sharply from that level, and Sinclair OH
was In supply at concessions all through
the day. Cosden Oil showed a strong tone,
making a fractional advance, and Oklahoma
producing was firm on like trading.
The munition stocks were both active and
strong, and there was fairly large trading
in Petroleum Bronze and Zinc Concentrat
ing Without much change In prices.
