Knight, of Elkins Pnrk, and Mr. Theodore
Gordon Bateman. The ceremony took
place nt the home of the bride's parents
and wns performed by tho Rev. Dr. J. Fry,
of the Luthernn Theological Seminary.
Miss McKnight wns given in marriage by
her father nnd wns attended by her sister.
Miss Ellzabelh McKnight. as maid of honor,
and her little sister. Miss Wilhelmlna Mc

The bride wns gowned in a beautiful
embroidered robe of white chiffon nnd
Georgette crepe. A few ornngo blossoms
were arranged in her hair In place of tho
usual veil, and she carried a large shower
bouquet of lilies of the valley nnd bride
rosea. Tho maid of honor. Miss Elizabeth
McKnight, a sister of the bride, was gowned

tainment on Tuesday evening In Its gaily

There were 80 guests present, Including
members and friends of the club. The hall
was decorated vlth American flags and the
colors of the club Mr. Harold H. Reiser
and Mr Edward Clnlcovo entertained with
monologues, nnd Mr. William Kane sang
some popular music, with Sir. Harry Fried
man at the piano. Mr James Owens sang,
with Mr Robert Hopkins nt the piano, and
Mr. Nathaniel Zelts sang a few parodies,
accompanied with borne stage dancing. Re
freshments were served, followed by a
dance. The Entertainment Committee con
sisted of Mr. George Slmmonds, chairman ;

and Mr Roy Tilles. The Refreshment Com

The annual outing of the Madonna Cath
olic Club took place last Sunday at Blue
Belle, Pa through the courtesy of the
president of the club, Mr. William A. S.
Lapetlna, and his parents, who gave the use
of their country beat. In the afternoon
there was a baseball game, and a minstrel
show by the Madonna minstrel troupe, un
der the management of Mr. Lapetlna and
Mr Lombardl, concluded the day's entertainment.
