Preparations for Big Two Day Affair Go on Apace Un

EVERT one is becoming very much In
terested In the Felo dea Flours, which
wilt be Blven out at the Georgo Fnles
Bakers on Friday and SatUiday of next
week. Mrs. StowartVurts Is in charge
of the affair.
One of tho big features will bo a coun
try fair, in which everything Imaginable
will bo sold, nnd In whlclimlso, will bo a
scries of amusements so thai there will
be "something doing" every minute.
Ono of tho departments of tho country
fair will be devoted to children, nnd they
will be entertained with pony rides and
other attractions. Toys and games will
be used and sold, and many novelties aro
being prepared to bo sprung ns a surprlso
on tho youngsters. Mrs. O. Hamilton Col
kot Is chairman of the children's depart
ment, and has used some Ideas obtained
In Vienna as part of tho entertainment
planned for the youngsters.
Two departments of tho affair will bo
very Interesting. Tho bazaar Itself will
bo decorated In a mannor which, ns yet,
has not been seen In this city. Each
booth will bo built to rescmblo tho artlclo
which Is Its chief attraction. For In
stance, tho hat booth will bo built to
look llko a bandbox. Every other booth
will follow tho same genoral Idea, and tho
wholo will harmonize Into a beautiful pic
ture. Mrs. Ell Kirk Prlco Is chairman of
the Decoration Committee, and Miss Doro
thy Stewart Is In charge of" tho work.
Ono of tho features of tho fete will bo a
"Just plain dog" show. Miss Mary Wurta,
daughter of tho gonoral chairman, will
havo a gipsy cart, from which she and
Rachel Fltler, Almeo Hutchinson, Hclon
Ellis and Margot Scull wilt sell tlnwaro
and other household articles. Miss Ellis
and Miss Scull will sing folk songs as tho
cart passes along, and a quartot of mem
bers of tho Glee Club of tho University of
Pennsylvania will sing In costume. Tho
girls will bo In peasant costumes, and
their singing will havo an accompaniment
by J. B. Stovons on tho banjo.
Mrs. Georgo G. Ross ''will head 'the tea
tables, nnd will be assisted by Carolyn
Valentine, Elsie Hirst, Mary Fahnestock,
Mildred Longstreth, Nancy Dunning,
Margaret Spencer, Jano Yeatman, Ellso
Klapp, Caroline Brown, Elizabeth Ross,

Joseph Woolston will assist by taking
charge of the booth of fancy articles for
' the garden. Miss Mary S. Montgomery
will sell garden, smocks and Eulalle Will

The dog show Is In charge of Mrs. Ben
jamin Coates and Mrs. , Georgo Clymer
Brooke.
Henry Rlttenburg and two of his artist
friends aro going to supply one of the
most attractive departments of tho'entlro
fete. They have promised to attend and
paint hats. It will be worth, something
to havo a hand-painted hat from ono of
the artists, all of whom aro well known
In artistic circles In this city.
The committee In charge of the entire
affair consists of members of the boards of
managers of the two institutions which
aro to benefit. Elaborate caro has been
taken In laying tho plans, and the result
should be one of the most successful

o'clock last evening, when Miss S Kathryne
Blckel, daughter of Mr, and Mrs. William
II, Blckel, of Germantown, was married to
Mr. Franklin Parsons Smith. The Rev.
Harold McA. Robinson, rector of the church,

The bride was given in marr(age by her
father. Her gowns of white &atln was
made with a short round skirt nnd finished
with a court train, which hung from the
Bhoulders. The corsage was of duchesse
lace, with pearl trimmings. Her tulle veil
was made with a cap and ndorned with
orange blossoms, and she carried a shower
bouquet of roses and lilies of the valley.
Miss Emllie S. Baker,-.the maid of honor,
wore a gown of pink metallic tissue and
sliver lace. The short skirt was composed
of festoons of tissue over flounces of lace,
with a deep hem of silver lare, A large
hat of pink tulle completed the costume,
and the color scheme was carried out In
the bouquet of sweet peas and snap
dragons., The bridesmaids. Miss Edith
Roheman and Miss Carlotta Fox, wore
orchid-colored frocks, trimmed with silver
lace and hats to match their gowns. Mr.
Smith had his brother. Mr, Pauling Smith,
as best man, and his ushers were Mr.
Whitney Ball, Mr, Itobert Rauscher, Mr.
