Our Most Important Anniversary Sale
To-morrow will be the first day of the closing month of our forty-eighth year, and we begin celebrating the
anniversary of the establishing of the partnership between Justus C. Strawbridge and Isaac H. Clothier in 1868.

The "Great Sale in Which it is Estimated That Our

This estimate is based upon these facts: About half a million dollars' worth of merchandise (retail value) has
already been purchased at far below value especially for this Sale. Our buyers are still in the market gathering extra
