A further facts "The Vltagraph has been

Ep Vltagraph Company is to have something
to do with the moving picture consolidation
: which Mr Hampton was trying to accom
plish some months back.
A trade paper declares that It has "def
initely learned Mr. Hampton will exercise
an option he held on the Lubln property In
Philadelphia, In addition to bringing a
definite conclusion tho negotiations pending
for the studios of Sells and Essanay, of
Chicago. These companies are alt releas
ing' their special features , through tho
V-L-S-E Company exchanges, formed for
that sole purpose; and If present plans
carry the entire four companies will be
merged Into one gigantic company, with tho
V-ti-S-n serving In Its present capacity,
but also being a part of the scheme of
things.
"Where the General Film Company, now
handling the releases up to three reols In
length, fits In. Is problematical. With the
machinery of the V-I.-S-E exchanges as
their own, It Is very doubtful If this now
regime will continue to release any film
whatever through the O. F.
"In addition, Mr. Hampton will un
doubtedly take up his option on the serv
ices of Mary PJckford, which ho has held
since his merger activities, giving Vita a
rump card. Famous players deny that
Mary will leave them, but Hampton has her
contract, nevcrthefess. Mary has not ap

Famous sending out a report she Is suffer

who know say she Is ns well as ever and

It la also interesting to learn that tho
Paramount has made an arrangement with
the World Film Corporation to hiyndlo tho

This week the Palace Theatre has com

the Palace has a 10-ptece orchestra. Tho

Police Court Chronicles
Morris Brady cannot overcome tho ten
dency to Juunlo. It appears that he was a
strong man and a juggler many years ago
and art sticks to him. If he gets change
otter buying things li a store ho tosses the
coin up In the air and grabs It In artistic
manner before .dropping It In his pocket
Whenever he stops anywhero for liquid re
freshments he cannot help tossing tho glass
toward the celling and catching It while on
lookers gasp In astonishment, Brady was
wandering through the park when he spied
a. bench lying: idle, although it was a pleas
ant day. Ho couldn't resist the temptation
to do a few stunts with it. Morris balanced
It on one hand and then on the other, then
he threw It about his neclc as though It
were light aa ji straw.
A. crowd of admiring youngsters looked
on and encouraged him. Morris then placed
2rfV fc J
the heavy bench on his chin and carried It
in a circle around several trees. It started
to tilt To keep it from falling, Brady ran
with It. Suddenly he beheld a picnic party
enjoying an open-air meal spread out on
the grass. Morris couldn't yell for fear of
dropping the- bench. But the picnickers saw
him and fled In alarm, leaving their banquet
jr 'untouched. Morris and the bench fell into
tho feast and aamagea It Deyono repair.
As Brady was jumping out or the wreck
age ho 'wqs discovered by Special Guards
Craig and Kohier, They took him before
, Magistrate Stevenson,
xorns comesscu inai wiq accmeni waa

and balancing was ft mania with him.
"I can't resist any opportunity for; exer
cise, Judge," be said.
"I'm glad to hear it," said the Magistrate,
"and you can now be assured of any
amount of It during tho Ave days that you
