The Chelsea Vacht Club Is going to be
very gay this slimmer The clubhouso will
be formally opened on Memorial Day, when
a number of marine events will take place,
lleglnnlng tho tlrit Monday In June, there
will bo a scries of morning bridge parties.
There will also be an afternoon bridge
every Thursday, followed by a club supper.
Tho Tuesday evening dances will be varied
each week by somo special feature. During
Juno theio will bo a confetti dntico, a fancy
dress ball and a lial masque. Tho annual
danco given by Commodore Samuel W.
Whan and Mrs. Whan will not take place
until early In July. On alternate Saturday
afternoons, when regattas aro not held
along the coast, there will be special stunts
at the clubhouse. On tho first Saturday
of the season a swimming contest by swim
