ILVRRISBURG. Pa., May 17 Estimates
hlao yesterday were that Harrlsburg'polled
lesB.than half of tho ordinary primary vote
"flhd that In some parts of Dauphin nnd
Cumberland counties tho vote wpuld run
less. Fragmentary returns from this city
Innd tho Lykens Valley showed that Gov
ernor Brumbaugh was running behind some
of his own delegntes-at-large, and In Steel
ton nnd other towns tho name of Roose

of Brumbaugh.
Indications are that tho Penrose dele

Snyder and Kephart swept Dauphin and
adjacent counties. Tho partisans of Scott
nnd Lafean made strenuous efforts for them
In this vicinity.
The" returns from Jefferson township,
Dauphin County, show six votes cast for
the Penrose 'dolcgatos-at'lnrgo and none
for the "Brumbaugh list In a number of
other rural districts tho Brumbaugh slato
got two nnd threo and the Penrose list from
16 to 20. In some Harrlsburg city districts
Penrose wns ahead about 6 to 1 Senator
Snyder received a good voto In tho upper
end of Dauphin County, where ho was born.
It Is estimated that he will beat Ambler
3 to 1 in the county. The surprise of tho

Roosevelt's name was written Into tho bal
lot, especially In the mining and steel works
districts.
